ARC Oxford becomes latest member of Advanced Oxford

ARC Oxford, home to a thriving community of world-changing science and tech companies, is the latest organisation to join Advanced Oxford.

ARC Oxford is focused on supporting its members and bringing new science-ready space to Oxford, to combat the lack of scale up space in the city which is threatening to stall the growth of the science and tech sector.

By the late 2020s ARC is set to invest over £1 billion in Oxfordshire across the ARC Oxford and Harwell Campuses. ARC’s growth strategy reflects demand for high-quality innovation space, and could see the current 600,000 sq. ft Oxford City space double in size as it brings new laboratories, offices, amenities and cutting-edge R&D facilities to the campus.

Together Advanced Oxford and ARC Oxford are also running a series of events for members, exploring how the core pillars of innovation clusters – ideas, talent, funding and place – are evolving.

“We’re delighted to join Advanced Oxford and play our role in helping the Oxfordshire ecosystem to thrive. Oxford has a world class research base and by working in partnership with our members we can create, invest in and build state-of-the-art, flexible research and development space that allows our members whether small start-up or a global corporation to succeed”. – Dan Williams, ARC Oxford

“It is great to have ARC Oxford join us in our work. They already have a vibrant community of science and technology companies, but we know that there is a need for more innovation-ready space for companies as they start, scale and commercialise and it is exciting to see ARC’s ambition across both its campuses in Oxfordshire.  We have been working with ARC since the beginning of the year on a thought-provoking and lively series of discussions on the “Future of Ideas”, “The Future of Talent” and the next two events, “The Future of Place” and The Future of Funding” will take place on 10th May and 25th May respectively, so we are delighted to continue our relationship with ARC Oxford as they join us as a member.” – Sarah Haywood, Managing Director of Advanced Oxford
