Oxfordshire’s Innovation Engine 2023

This work has now been published – to view the report, dashboard and other material, please go to our Innovation Engine page Oxfordshire’s Innovation Engine

Advanced Oxford, working with Elsevier, has undertaken a project to map and examine Oxfordshire’s innovation economy.  The work includes creation of a dashboard of indicators that will allow us to assess changes across the region.

It is some time since any assessment of Oxfordshire’s innovation landscape has taken place.  The original Oxfordshire Innovation Engine reports were published in 2013 and 2016 respectively, while the Oxfordshire Science and Innovation Audit was published in 2017 (all reports available on the Latest Research section of this website). Oxfordshire’s Innovation Engine 2023 provides an up to date picture of Oxfordshire’s knowledge economy, which can be used by individual companies, policy makers and to demonstrate how Oxfordshire contributes to the UK economy as a whole.

Advanced Oxford has worked with the International Center for the Study of Research at Elsevier on this project.  The mission of the International Center for the Study of Research (ICSR) is to further the study of research and thus to contribute to the evidence base supporting the practice of research strategy, evaluation and policy. Our vision is a world in which decisions informed by such evidence benefit research and society.
