Quantum Dice unveils world’s fastest PCIe Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG)

Quantum Dice has launched the latest addition to its Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) product line-up: VERTEX.

The PCIe QRNG, which is the world’s fastest with a 2.66 Gbps rate of post-processed random numbers, was unveiled for the first time this week in Barcelona at 4YFN, the start-up event of the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry, GSMA Mobile World Congress. PCIe (peripheral component interconnect express) is an interface standard for connecting high-speed components.

As well as combining best-in-class security and speed with a compact form factor, VERTEX also takes advantage of Quantum Dice’s unique patented source-device independent self-certification (DISC) protocol, which takes the protection against hardware attacks to a new level and ensures quantum randomness for encryption keys.

With a standard half-length PCIe card form factor, VERTEX can be easily integrated with servers, PCs and hardware security systems making it ideal for cybersecurity application.

The VERTEX QRNG showcases the incredible scaling potential of our DISC technology and the amazing capabilities of our team. Its unparalleled combination of security, speed, and compactness will make true quantum entropy available to a wide range of enterprise and infrastructure application
