STFC Cross Cluster Proof of Concept Grant 2023

The Science and Technology Facilities Council are offering businesses the opportunity to access up to £45k of grant funding for collaborative projects.

The STFC-funded Cross Cluster Proof of Concept Call is open to collaborative projects relating to Harwell and North West clusters in Space, Energy Tech, Health Tech, Quantum, and Digital Tech and its aim is to stimulate business engagement and multi-disciplinary collaboration. Projects must be business-led and involve one or more project partner from an STFC cluster.

Over 180 organisations have supported on 82 innovative projects since 2017 with over £2m invested, leveraging additional £2.1m in match funding.

There is an additional Connecting Space Clusters Highlight* for UK space collaborations, aiming to stimulate knowledge exchange and collaboration within the space communities around the UK and organisations in the Space Clusters at Harwell and Sci-Tech Daresbury campuses.

A partnership with Space North (North East Space Cluster and Space Hub Yorkshire), Space South Central Cluster, Space Scotland, and Westcott, aims to stimulate knowledge exchange and collaboration within the space communities around the UK and organisations in the space Clusters at Harwell and Sci-Tech Daresbury campuses.

Your business-led project must be space-focused and involve one or more partner from Harwell or NW Space Cluster and one or more business from the partnering Space Clusters.
