Advanced Oxford member and collaborator considers the role of investors in supporting female academic founders

Simonetta Manfredi is a professor of equality and diversity management, and the Director for Research, Innovation and Enterprise at Oxford Brookes University. Her research expertise is primarily focused on gender and leadership, age discrimination and retirement policies, work-life balance and applied diversity policy research in higher education.

Professor Manfredi has published an article in Times Higher Education, which talks about the key changes required to help female academics found spin-out companies.  The article considers the need for rebalancing gender diversity within the investment community and considers how academia can produce more women entrepreneurs.
