To deliver a clean, electric future, we need the biggest transition of energy infrastructure ever seen, in the shortest amount of time. To date the focus has been on decarbonising electricity supply, with a huge pipeline of new wind and solar capacity in development. But with electricity demand set to almost triple by 2050, urgent work is needed to ensure power is available at the right time, in the right places, so that critical industries can electrify and decarbonise with confidence.
