Developments in Oxfordshire’s angel investment environment

Oxford Investment Opportunity Network (OION) and the Oxford Angels Network (OAN) have merged, combining operations to form a strong and cohesive Oxford-based angel network.

Access to finance for growth is critical to starting and scaling ground-breaking tech companies and is a priority issue for Advanced Oxford –  see more on our projects page. This merger will contribute significantly to strengthening the appeal of the Oxford Cluster as a great place for companies to flourish as well as contributing to creating one of the leading innovation ecosystems worldwide.

The merger of the two networks will give both new and existing angels an opportunity to invest in impactful new tech companies, both from the University of Oxford and the wider UK, all under one roof.  The merged business will be branded as OION (incorporating OAN).  More detail is available through the OION website https://www.oion.co.uk/news.

The combined angel network will be holding their next event at Culham Science Centre on 23 March, 2020.
