Oxford AHSN becomes Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley

Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley is the new name for the Oxford AHSN from 1st October 2023.

After ten years Academic Health Science Networks have become Health Innovation Networks as part of a new five-year licence from Government through to 2028.  Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley is one of 15 networks, working across NHS England and is responsible for working to bring new innovation into clinical care and practice.

“The new name better reflects our collective role as ‘the innovation arm of the NHS’. Our remit remains unchanged – we will continue to work with our partners in the NHS, research and industry to identify, develop and spread innovation that will benefit patients, services, populations and economies.” – Professor Gary Ford, Chief Executive of Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley
