Advanced Oxford is currently working on the following issues:
(i) Advanced Oxford is contributing to the Oxford Growth Commission. Advanced Oxford’s Managing Director, Sarah Haywood, is a member of the Growth Commission. A consultation on a Development Corporation for Oxford(shire) will be held in 2026, to which Advanced Oxford will respond.
(ii) Advanced Oxford is supporting Equinox, particularly in relation to its ‘Corporates’ workstream. You can find out more about Equinox here. Advanced Oxford is represented on the Equinox Operational Group.
(iii) Updating data relating to Oxfordshire’s innovation ecosystem. Advanced Oxford has previously developed a Business Directory relating to Oxfordshire’s innovation-based green economy. This Directory is being updated in 2026. Oxfordshire’s Innovation Engine (2023) report was accompanied by a dashboard of data and KPIs for the region’s innovation economy. We are currently working to update this dashboard with new data and statistics.
(iv) Advanced Oxford has two policy groups, which were established in 2025: a skills policy group and an infrastructure and utilities group. Both are conducting research and developing policy positions and proposals. Further information about this work will shared soon.
(v) Advanced Oxford delivered the third in our series of three innovation showcases in Parliament in May, 2026, working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council.
