The Science and Technology Facilities Council Proof of Concept Call is now open

The concept call is for applications for collaborative projects

Grants of up to £40k will be awarded (requires match contribution in the form of cash or in-kind).

Do you need access to specialised capabilities, CRISPR mouse models, advanced imaging, next generation chemistry or assistance with advanced therapies or diagnostics? Are you seeking collaborations to help de-risk your programmes?

The aim of the call is to stimulate business engagement.  Projects must be business-led and involve one or more project partner at either  Harwell Science and Innovation Campus and Sci-Tech Daresbury (e.g. a campus-based SME or a National lab partner).

Additional funds are also being made available for projects undertaken with the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) and MTC – Manufacturing Technology Centre (enabling access to their Manufacturing Support Service, Product Manufacturing Incubator and Digital Manufacturing Accelerator), but this is not a requirement for the general call.

If you would like to discuss your project or receive a copy of the application form, please contact Jess or Lee at STFC via [email protected]

The closing date for applications is 23 November, 17.30 GMT.
