Hive Group buzzes into the Bee House

Sustainable engineering company Hive Group has expanded across the Golden Triangle by moving to Milton Park – a leading science, business and technology community in Oxfordshire.

Hive Group – which has a strong presence across Cambridge and London – specialises in supporting education, commercial and heritage clients across the built environment, helping them to become more sustainable.

Once the foundations of the move are in place, Hive group plans to support emerging talent across the region with the launch of graduate recruitment initiatives and opportunities. This commitment to identifying talent at all levels and supporting the next generation and allow the company to grow across the region and beyond.

Hive’s recent projects include the installation of a sustainable heating system as part of decarbonising Hamleys’ Regent Street store. The company also achieved a WELL Platinum certificate – a global rating system that recognises buildings designed to support the health and wellbeing of occupants – for LandSec’s 120,000 sq ft Myo Liverpool Street project.

Hive Group is predicting a busy few years ahead. Current and prospective clients will need to upgrade the EPC ratings of their commercial buildings to C by 2027 – a new legal standard – in a bid to decarbonise their assets.

“We’re really excited about our new home at Milton Park, which will help to cement our position within the Golden Triangle. The move has put us in a prime position to support clients across a range of sectors committed to improving asset sustainability.

The synergies between Hive Group’s new home at Milton Park’s Bee House go beyond simply our names. Just like Hive Group, the Bee House has robust sustainability credentials, while the location and the vibrancy of the workspace creates a commercial advantage for recruiting and prospecting future clients, which played a large factor in choosing where to expand. Milton Park – and Oxfordshire more widely – is a microcosm of extremely innovative businesses and I’m looking forward to benefitting from the wider ecosystem across the Park and the opportunity the Golden Triangle presents.” – Anthony Mulraney, Director at Hive Group

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Hive Group to the Milton Park community. The team will be in good company, joining other likeminded businesses at the Park, helping to push boundaries in research and development. We’re excited for Hive to benefit from the opportunities the Milton Park ecosystem offers and look forward to seeing them network and collaborate with other exciting innovators at the Park.” – Philip Campbell, Commercial Director at MEPC Milton Park

The Bee House recently received an award nomination for Workplace Fit-out of the Year at the Insider South East Property Awards, 2023, coinciding with the first year since opening on World Bee Day 2022.
