Thomas White Oxford, the development company of St John’s College, has announced the retirement of its chief executive officer, William Donger, who stepped down from the role on 31 July 2026 after more than eight years’ service.
William joined Thomas White Oxford in 2018 and has played a significant role in the company’s development and growth. He started his career in London more than 50 years ago and has worked in Oxfordshire for more than 30 years, including establishing the Savills Oxford office in Botley in 1996.
A legacy at Oxford North
During his tenure, William helped shape the organisation’s strategic direction and oversaw the delivery of Oxford North, a flagship new innovation district for Oxford. The development is creating a new destination for science, technology and innovation alongside homes, public parks and community facilities.
Throughout his career with Thomas White Oxford, William worked closely with St John’s College, Oxford, local authorities, partners and stakeholders to support the company’s long-term vision of creating places that deliver lasting economic, environmental and social value.
