BioEscalator video campaign: life at Oxford’s biomedical incubator brought to life

The BioEscalator, the University of Oxford’s biomedical incubator, has launched a new video campaign celebrating its role in accelerating the development of high-impact biomedical businesses.

Kicking off with an introductory film, the campaign will bring this one-of-a-kind location to life over the coming months, featuring commentary from tenant and alumni companies, Oxford Science Enterprises, Oxford University Innovation and Zinc VC.

Why the BioEscalator matters

In a series of films, leading voices from across the Oxford and UK innovation ecosystem describe how the facility has enhanced their work to create real change in the lives of patients through healthcare innovation. Themes running through the campaign include the unique mix of community, support and world-class research infrastructure that makes the BioEscalator the destination of choice for biotech and medtech spin-outs and start-ups from across the UK.

The strength of feeling among those who have experienced the BioEscalator first hand is clear. Interviewees describe it as “a perfect home for many of our portfolio companies” and highlight how it “helped us to close investment rounds,” reflecting the tangible impact the facility has on the businesses it supports.

Turning world-class science into world-class companies

The BioEscalator worked with Grace Gibbons and Bounce Video on its film campaign. The series captures the ambition at the heart of the facility, described by those involved as a place focused on turning world-class science into world-class companies.

The BioEscalator is a vital part of Oxfordshire’s life sciences and biomedical innovation ecosystem, and its new video campaign is a timely reminder of the extraordinary work taking place within it.
