Orbit Discovery joins Mission Street and BGO’s Inventa innovation district in Oxford’s West End

Advanced Oxford welcomes the news that Orbit Discovery, a leading biotech company spun out of the University of Oxford, has committed to new space within Inventa, the purpose built innovation district delivered by Mission Street and BGO in Oxford’s West End. The move strengthens the city’s growing central cluster for science and technology and highlights continued demand for high quality research and development space in the region.

Orbit Discovery, founded in 2016, provides peptide discovery services for therapeutic applications. The company has agreed a new lease at Inventa, joining an expanding community of innovation led businesses including Nucleome Therapeutics, Xyme and Oxford Semantic Technologies.

Colin Brown, Development Director at Mission Street, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Orbit Discovery as the latest occupier at Inventa. We have really enjoyed getting to know the team at Orbit better and we will be undertaking works in the building to provide them with exceptional space for the next period of their company growth.
Inventa is now nearing full occupancy, housing some of Oxford’s most exciting innovation companies and establishing a thriving research and development cluster.”

Orbit Discovery’s decision reflects the continued momentum of Oxford’s West End as an emerging focal point for science, technology and innovation. It also demonstrates the value of high quality facilities that can accommodate the growth needs of scale up companies as they develop new research capabilities.
