The UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) is a leading independent research institute dedicated to understanding and transforming how we interact with the natural world. With over 600 researchers, they tackle the urgent environmental challenges of our time, such as climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.

“At the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, we are delighted to join Advanced Oxford and join this science and technology business community. I am looking forward to collaborating and learning from this brilliant network and having the chance to share our research and innovation. We look forward to taking our place as part of this dynamic Oxfordshire ecosystem, engaging our researchers from across the UK, including those based at our Wallingford site.” – Alison Sternberg Robinson, Director of Partnerships and Impact

“One of the strengths of the Oxfordshire innovation ecosystem is the breadth and diversity of expertise that we have across science and technology disciplines. This is exemplified by the incredible work that is done at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, which is located in the south of the county in Wallingford. We are delighted to welcome UKCEH to our membership as they bring new perspectives and their excellence in ecology and hydrology research into our work.” – Sarah Haywood, Advanced Oxford’s Managing Director

For over 60 years, UKCEH and its predecessor institutes have been at the forefront of environmental monitoring and modelling. The long-term environmental data hosted by UKCEH inform policymaking, enable new discoveries, and drive research and innovation.
