Powering up: Brill Power joins forces with Pod Point, Gotion and Inobat

The collaboration will explore opportunities to develop Residential Energy Storage Systems for Pod Point using a Battery Intelligence Platform.

Brill Power is partnering with Pod Point, one of the UK’s largest providers of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, alongside battery maker Gotion High Tech and European EV battery startup InoBat. The Memorandum of Understanding marks the next step in Brill Power’s entry into the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market.

The strategic agreement will see the four companies share expertise in power battery technology, EV battery R&D, and battery optimisation to develop a competitive quality home battery solution for customers. The goal is to develop and deliver innovative solutions for residential customers which will aim to help users significantly reduce energy costs and minimise carbon emissions.

“The energy transition will only happen if all actors in the sector work together to ensure that reliable and future-proof solutions are brought to market. Our advanced battery management system delivers an end-to-end solution that extends battery lifetime by up to 60%. We believe it will be a key element for Pod Point’s entry into the residential BESS market.” – Christoph Birkl, CEO and co-founder of Brill Power
